This is your page.  We encourage our customers to send us pictures of them fishing on the North Fork of the White.  Big fish, small fish, interesting pictures from the river.  Please e-mail your pictures along with when, where and what (if you will share) you caught the fish on and we will be glad to display it on our bragging board.  With Blue Ribbon and Red Ribbon areas on the NFoW, every angler has a resonable chance at catching that "wild" rainbow of a lifetime.  Twenty inch fish are not uncommon on this river with much bigger fish being caught every year.  Until you experience a battle with a fiesty streambred rainbow in the swift current of the North Fork, you won't understand why fly fishermen from all over the United States consider this the trout fishing mecca of the Central U.S.   Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the monster brown trout are pretty fun too!

Spring Break Brown

Picture
22+"  brown taken by Chris Conant on April Fools Day 2011 on a prince nymph dropped below a Pat's rubberlegs.  Caught while wading just upstream of the Fly Shop.  I was in the shop when I heard him calling my name from the river.  I arrived just in time to get his camera and get a few shots of the fish before he released it unharmed to be caught by the next lucky fisherman.  Last cast of the trip following a good week of fishing which included several fish 18" or better.

Could it be the same fish?

Picture
Kevin Keens with a 23.5" brown caught in the same general spot as Chris' fish five days later.  Looks to me like it could be the same fish.  Thanks to everyone for practicing catch and release even with these big "keeper" trout.  Kevin caught this fish on a white "meat whistle" streamer while the morning shadows still covered the river.  Kevin had been fishing Missouri trout streams all week, and just like Chris decided after this fish not to cast anymore and end his week of fishing on a high note.  These two stories have led us to nickname this fish "Happy Ending".

Riverhouse Brownie

Picture
After a day out on the driftboat, Dead Drift Yacht Club member Jerry Thorsen landed a 21.5" brown on a streamer at dusk as we drifted in front of the Sunburst Ranch Riverhouse.  Congratulations on a wonderful fish!  Caught January 2011
